Then slide open the living room doors to drink it on the deck while admiring the Puget Sound and mountain views from this home perched two blocks above Alki Beach in West Seattle. At the end of the day, use the gas grill to prepare salmon you picked up fresh at the Pike Place Market and gather around the dining table in the great room to enjoy with a glass of fine wine. Curl up in front of the gas fireplace and unwind with a book or your favorite show on the huge smart TV. Great Room Layout: The main living space is light and airy, arranged in an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. Leather couches ground the living room and provide a cozy space to curl up and read, work on a laptop, watch satellite TV, or enjoy the gas fireplace. From the living room, sliding doors open unto a large view deck which overlooks Alki Beach and has 180 degree views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. You'll love using the gas grill to cook the fresh salmon you bring back from the Pike Place Market. Prepare the rest of your dinner in the gorgeous designer kitchen with cherry cabinets, granite counters and stainless appliances-at the heart of the great room, then gather around the long dining table to savor a bottle of wine and great company. In the morning, enjoy a cup of freshly ground Pike Place Roast coffee while gazing at the view from the bar or cocktail table. Bedroom/Bathroom Layout: The lower level offers a master suite with king-sized bed and ensuite bath. Two additional bedrooms each have comfortable queen-sized beds and share the remaining full bath. Also included on the lower level is a laundry room, which adds convenience for longer stays. Parking: It is easy to park two cars at the unit, one inside the single car attached garage and the other in the driveway. Additional parking is available for free on the street nearby. Privacy: This rental unit is the upper portion of a duplex. The home's modern construction affords complete privacy between this and the lower unit. We are always available by text, phone, or e-mail, but otherwise respect the privacy of our guests. Alki Beach is a great place to be on a sunny day, wth families playing volleyball or exploring the tide pools as the water recedes. Parallel to the beach, there's a flat, well-maintained path, perfect for cyclists, runners, and rollerbladers. Catch a free shuttle on the beach to connect to downtown Seattle via an enjoyable ride on the West Seattle water taxi.

The ever-changing view of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound from our huge living room windows will provide a beautiful backdrop for your Seattle beach vacation. Cozy up in the living room to catch up with the world on our fast wifi network, stream programs on the smart TV or tune into cable, or sip a glass of wine with your traveling companions. The large dining room table provides a place to share gourmet meals whipped up in the spacious, bright kitchen or on the gas grill. This is a two-bedroom house. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and door that opens onto the patio and hot tub area. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed and serene reading area. The house's one bathroom has a large claw-foot soaking tub with shower. Conveniences: fast WIFI, smart TV with cable and streaming capabilities, washer & dryer, coffee & tea, all bedding, towels, and robes for the hot tub provided. We live nearby and are always available by text, phone, or e-mail, but otherwise respect the privacy of our guests. It is a short walk to Alki Beach, which is one block away, or the local shops and restaurants. Venture slightly further afield to explore downtown or go even further for some wonderful outdoor adventures. Parking: Admittedly difficult. Our garage was built along with the house in 1910 and is very small. On-street parking is not available on our street. If your car can't squeeze into the garage, it might be necessary to park up to a block away. Alternatives: Uber cars and taxis are readily available all over Seattle. Guests can catch a shuttle bus on Alki Ave that will take them directly to the pier where the water taxi departs for downtown Seattle. The regular Metro bus stop is also just about a block from the house.

This split- level home, with separate downstairs entry, provides ample room for multiple families to gather as a group or find a peaceful respite at the end of a tiring day. This is a unique property that is a preference of many locals with visiting families to the area. Keep some carrots on hand to feed the grazing deer!!
