Pullman Train Car at Rassawek

Our Pullman Car is one of 3 converted train cars available for rentals. The car was built by Pullman Co. in 1888. Guests staying in this car have access to the shared amenities of Rassawek Station including the patio “Flat Car” and our Lodge Cabin. Guests can also use the ponds on the property as well as the 5+ miles of private country roads for hiking, running and biking. The converted car has a living area, full kitchen, a bedroom with two double beds, a full bath with shower and a half bath.

This romantic place to stay offers a history all its own. Our Missouri-Pacific (Mo-Pac) Caboose was built in the 1950s and is appropriately decorated like a '50s diner. Just outside of the caboose is our American Bison herd. You can sit on the deck & watch them graze & play. Come spend some time in a real, completely refurbished railroad caboose (with all the modern amenities) just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Orchard Gap, approximate mile 193.5. Probably the most unique lodging along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We now have disc golf baskets and discs as well as cornhole sets. Pet owners please read the pet policy under additional rules. We DO NOT have any cleaning fees, never have. The service fees are not ours.
