Ataraxia is a solar powered lodge that offers lush nature right on the edge of the carribean sea. Take a few steps from the jungle and jump into the clear water, snorkel the bordering reef or paddle around in kayaks. Right midway between Bocas Town and Redfrog beach, our location offers the quietness and seclusion of remote island resorts at the same time as proximity and easy access (cheaper boat rides) to all tours and activities of the archipelago.

The Surf Shack is a two-story building with 8 single rooms, with shared bathrooms/ showers (1 bathroom/ shower per floor). These accommodations were added so we could provide a budget-friendly space for solo travelers. With your own private room, single bed, and big picture window you can sleep peacefully at night with the sound of the waves crashing in the distance and wakeup to the sunrising over the ocean in the morning.

Welcome to our treehouse eco-lodge “LA SELVA at Nomad Tree Lodge.” Our property features a scenic infinity pool, jungle yoga shala, and, of course, frequent monkey sightings. We are a 15 minute land taxi from bocas town, nestled in a quiet corner of the jungle overlooking the sea, and just a 5-10 minute walk to 2 world class surf breaks (for intermediate/ advanced surfers), as well as several beach clubs & restaurants.
