Enjoy an exclusive view of the River, the FM Train Depot and Old Fort Madison from this 2nd floor true-studio apt. The space has modern décor and all of the comforts of home. Railfans will enjoy the trains and river fans will enjoy the unique east-west river movement. There will be train sounds! The space comfortably sleeps two adults in its queen size Murphy bed. This loft in a quaint country barn offers balcony views of a sunrise over the meadow straight from your master bedroom or a sky filled with endless stars. The second bedroom offers a full size bed with additional overhead bunk. DISH T.V., WiFi, a well stocked kitchen, and ingredients for a country breakfast of eggs, toast, butter and coffee or tea are provided. We have a shared swimspa that holds up to 12 people at a time. It is often available. We also have a children's playset.

We are located approximately 18 miles from downtown Nauvoo via the bridge in Keokuk.

We welcome guests to our 1880 Sonora Town Hall Cottage. This building once served as a voting poll for the Sonora Township. It is now a beautiful boutique cottage for overnight guests staying in the Nauvoo area. We are located on a working grain farm 6 miles southeast of Nauvoo. PLEASE NOTE: NO SMOKING or VAPING on the premises. We do have security cameras outside of the town hall building, which provide security and lighting for all guests.

The Vernon Street Guest House - Suite 2

Built in 1900 and renovated in 2022, Suite 2 shows little signs of the once quirky old space. Completely private, with all the amenities, it boasts a spacious bedroom, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with a desk for workspace, and a laundry room. While you're here, we hope you are able to relax and enjoy the well lit deck along with a cup of freshly roasted coffee, which we are happy to have provided.
