Karekare had some significant flooding in February 2023. There are still some road works being completed. We inform guests about these at the time of the booking. Right on the beach, a large, light and airy living space (160sqm upstairs house). Backed by native bush with expansive views of the beach and sea/sunrises to the front. Matakatia is a tidal inner harbour beach with safe swimming in summer, and for the brave in winter.
