Bedford Hideaway is a unique 1963 SB3 Bedford Bus which has been transformed into a perfect getaway with all the amenities you would expect in a home. Located in a private rural bush setting only 5 minute drive from Greymouth CBD It includes kitchenette, tea & coffee facilities, microwave and a continental breakfast. Full sized shower and flushing toilet along with a queen sized bed, an electric blanket and plenty of extra bedding. Close to all your needs but still private & peaceful to relax!

A peaceful little retreat nestled near the base of the Southern Alps mountains on a 100-acre farm within walking distance to the heart of Fox Glacier township - perfect for couples and solo travellers looking for a cosy and comfortable stay. The space features a double bed, tea and coffee-making facilities and a porch with fire pit. The bathroom is a short walk away and is shared with other guests from the second pod. Guests also have complimentary access to our Panoramic Outdoor Barrel Sauna.

This listing is for the first cabin, Cotton Candy - named after the finest woman pilot of the golden age of aviation Jean Batten.

The Tower, Okarito

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.

The Nest at Hurunui Jacks (outdoor bath & firepit)

So much more than a place to sleep - toast marshmallows around a private fire, take a bike on the West Coast Wilderness trail, kayak on our little lake! The Nest is a stand alone self contained unit with outdoor bath/shower, close to but separate from the main house. Set on 15 acres of private land, Hurunui Jacks has the Nest and a glamping tent nestled in beautiful West Coast native bush. A small private lake, historic water race & the Kaniere River are on your doorstep.

River & Trail Camping Pod

Secluded & cosy ‘off-grid’ Eco camping pod overlooking the Hokitika River, right next to the West Coast Wilderness cycling trail. Located in a private setting you have the space to yourselves. Located only 3km from Hokitika town and beach and 3km from the airport.

Carrickfergus Cottage Unit 2

Located on our little hobby farm in HariHari about 4.5 kms off state highway 6. Our cottage is divided into two beautiful fully equipped studio units. The units are suitable for couples or a single person. The area is very quiet has great views of the surrounding farm land, trees, mountains and our garden. If you want to cook in the little kitchen you will have to bring food with you the nearest supermarket is either in Franz Josef Glacier or Hokitika.

Dreamy mountain views & star gazing at Outside Inn

This property has all the benefits of a rural getaway while remaining a convenient distance to key attractions such as the beautiful Hokitika Gorge and the West Coast Wilderness Trail. This former DOC hut has been relocated and completely refurbished to provide a cozy weekend retreat. Bathroom facilities are detached from cabin and shared with our other cabin guests. Our place is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
