Ranked the #1 AirBnB in its category of about 360 in the area, our beautiful, newly-renovated Over-the-Rhine building is from 1880. The top of a 2-story property, it's perfect for a great weekend or being your home away from home in the Queen City, including one of the largest private balconies in all of downtown!
Just a half block from Music Hall, Washington Park and a Streetcar stop, our place is perfect for making the most out of your time in OTR but is also on a calm residential street.
We think you'll find that the reviews left by our awesome guests tell you what to expect when you stay at our place. We're pretty thrilled at how much people have loved our condo, our location, and the experience we try to help them have. We provide drinks and snacks and backups for the things you left at home, as well as a really great custom guide to the neighborhood that works on your phone and of course, I am always available for advice on where to go and what to do while you're here.
You'll find the kitchen is perfect as a launching point for your night and for making everyone coffee and eggs in the morning while you relax at the breakfast bar. The private balcony is large and beautifully furnished with plants and plenty of seating. *Please Note: the granite mosaic firepit on the patio doesn't have a gas line yet, so it may just be a be a cool table during your visit, but we still love having a bottle of wine out there with the lighting down and some candles (we'll make sure there are plenty of candles for you if the gas line isn't up and running when you stay at our place).
We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and designing in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day. As a result, you'll find features like historically-accurate bedroom sizes (small, but very functional with 1 Queen Bed and 1 Full), exposed brick walls, lovely hardwood floors, granite and marble counter tops, a gaming table, small desk, high vaulted ceilings throughout, a nicely equipped kitchen, 2-basin bathroom vanity, tons of natural light, full-length mirrors to for getting ready to go out, wireless Bluetooth speakers that work outdoors and one of the nicest, largest private patios in all of Downtown/OTR.
Parking is free in the private lot. The spaces aren't reserved for each condo but there are plenty of spots. If you come in the winter and want to keep ice off your windshield, the entrance to the Washington Park garage is just a block away after you unload your bags from the open area on the street right next to our front door.
Also, there are entry steps and a 1-story staircase, so please keep that in mind if you have mobility needs.
We're nuts for pets, but had an incident with a guest's pet at our old place and it cost us a fortune. So, sadly, we have decided to not allow pets any longer even though most owners and their pets are awesome; I hope you understand.
STUFF TO DO:
Where to start? The list is endless around here so we'll send you an interactive map that shows you great places with lots of notes and recommendations when you book our place. It's also a nice thing to have as you go around downtown and want to find a good glass of wine before a great dinner followed by needing to meet friends at one of our urban breweries. Here are some of the highlights in a list we'll update as new things open:
- Music Hall (Symphony, Orchestra, Ballet, Concerts, Balls, etc)
- Washington Park is a great place to hang out, go to all the events, have drinks at the outdoor bar, etc
- The list of restaurants and bars within walking distance is huge, we'll help you navigate the madness depending on what you're looking for
- Breweries/Distilleries/Wine Producers: Rhinegiest, Taft's, Christian Moerlein, Three Points, Sam Adams, Northern Row, Skeleton Root, Northside, and Revel are all walkable and most are 1-4 blocks away.
- Fitness: Again, we'll help you find what you want most. Whether you're searching for sports, swimming, lifting, zumba, steamy downward dogs, WOD's or burpees until you die, we've got you covered
- Theaters with all kinds of programming are nearby
- Findlay Market is one of the City's very best treasures, especially on the weekend during the non-freezing months, and best of all it's only 3 blocks away!
For those of you who are new to AirBnb and don't have an account, or are traveling with people who fit that description, use this link to sign up and it will knock $40 off your first stay! Not a bad deal considering how much value you get for staying in AirBnB's to begin with:
Over-the-Rhine is a gorgeous collection of Italianate architecture that was built in the later half of the 1800's. It's been going through a major renaissance that started around 2006 and has grown in strength and quality ever since. OTR is the most popular social neighborhood in Cincinnati, so some areas are louder than others at night. Fortunately, our place is in the beginning of one of the residential pockets so you get the proximity and walkability to everything without the raucous bar crowd and impossible parking.
A link with a detailed map will be sent to all guests to help you plan your trip. We thought this would be an improvement over a welcome book because this serves as a nice guide to refer to when you're out and about and is updated often. If the map gives your as many questions as it does answers, just shoot me a note or give me a call and I'll point you in the right direction.
