Whispering Oak in the heart of Midtown

Built in 1908 and well preserved and loved over the decades. The front garden once featured a massive 200 year old Oak tree from which we named the property. The front garden is enclosed with an iron fence and gate with off street parking. The house is divided into two private apartments each with an entrance form the front porch. There is a lovely covered patio in the private back garden. Inside the apartment you will find an inviting space with tasteful decor and all the comfort of home.

Country get-away! Only 30 Minutes from Downtown Memphis, TN, yet out in the country on a 62 acre estate. Nature trails through the property allow for beautiful, peaceful strolls. We have fishing (in season). **** This cottage is set back in the woods and there is not a TV in this unit but there is Wifi. We have created a serene and unplugged experience. Harbert House is situated within walking distance to shops and food in Cooper Young + Overton Square, 2 miles from the Memphis Zoo and Overton park, & 3 miles from downtown. Harbert House was built in 1912 and has historic charm.

Our property isn't just a place to spend the night, its a destination. A place to relax. We have been blessed to call this beautiful farmstead home for over 30 years. Upon entering the property you will traverse along the winding drive, rolling hills, across the lake on the covered bridge, and up the hill to the log home. Be sure to look around for the many deer, geese, ducks, turkeys, and other wildlife that also call our farm home.
