The Hut in the Wild

Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. On the edge of the Pennine Moors with country walks from the doorstep this modern annex is in a peaceful location at the end of a cul-de-sac in Trawden. The village has a great pub, cafe and community shop with locally sourced & eco-friendly produce. Bronte Country, Pendle Hill and Skipton (the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales) are under half an hour drive away. Off road parking, peaceful garden with superb views A welcome pack of milk, bread, butter & jams, cereals, tea, coffee provided.

A network of paths go through our working farm with river and forest and higher land to explore together. Perfect for walking and bird watching.

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.
