The City of of Bad Kissingen collects a spa tax on short-term stays from non-permanent residents. All guests who are not permanent residents of Bad Kissingen are subject to the local spa tax. The spa tax is collected by the Free State of Bavaria based on the spa tax collection regulations.

Guests subject to the spa tax are eligible for a Bad Kissingen guest card which offers some benefits.
