I stayed for a month and needed to get to both UC Berkeley and closer to downtown Oakland consistently during my stay, and this location was conveniently placed to access public transportation to either (I used buses, short-term bike rentals, and even BART for a trip to San Francisco). That said, if you aren't wanting to use public transportation to go out for a quick meet-up, the walk to spots like cafes, restaurants, and bars is a bit longer. Wendy was responsive and helpful, keeping the house in tidy shape and (re-)stocking the essentials listed in the advertisement.

Very flexible and accommodating.

I stayed in Wendy's house for 45 days and my stay was great. I was visiting UC Berkeley and Wendy's house is conveniently located close to a bus stop, just 5 min. by walking. In this bus stop, I was able to go directly to UC Berkeley by bus (each trip from house to UC Berkeley took 40 min in total). For this reason, this house is great for anyone wishing to study at UC Berkeley. If you need to go to San Francisco, you can take BART (metro), the nearest station is located about 15 min. by walking distance. The house is complete with all appliances.About the host: Wendy is a lovely person. She is friendly and I'm glad to have her as my host. She even used her cell phone to call my phone company because my cell phone was not working. In fact, Wendy is the best host that I have ever had on Airbnb (I'm an experienced traveler through Airbnb). I wish to return to Wendy's house in the future when returning to San Francisco and Bay Area. In summary, I highly recommend Wendy's house.
