From waterfront in downtown Seattle, you can walk onto the Bainbridge Island or Bremerton Ferry boats. On nice days the views of Seattle, Mount Rainier, Mount Baker and the Olympic mountains are breathtaking! Inexpensive. Can do round trip in 2-3 hours depending on which route you take. NOTE: can be windy and quite cool on the water even on summer days.

Unless you drive up Hood Canal from Olympia you will need to take a ferry to get to the Olympic Peninsula. Check out the Washington State Ferries website for all you need to know.

The Seattle–Bainbridge ferry is a ferry route across Puget Sound between Seattle and Bainbridge Island, Washington. The route was called the Seattle–Winslow ferry before the city of Winslow annexed the rest of the island and changed its name.
